Hey, guys... Sigh. My training got postponed in favor of a client site visit... So, I won't be able to make it this weekend... Dammit. I was really hoping to meet all you east coast boys. Maybe next time, I guess.

Have a great time though, eat some of Wallace's BBQ, and take some photos for me!

Cheers,

Insult to injury, such great food. I can't be there but I can just imagine the taste of that wonderful slow cooked brisket. I can still remember the come-back sauce. Sitting out on the patio listening to all of the stories being told, injecting my knowledge when I could. Oh how I will miss not being there this year. The area around Williams was also breathtaking to think how old some of those residences are.

Had things only turned out differently this year. Even if you slow down time doesn't and will run you over.

BBQ stuff is marinating and getting ready for the smoker!

Getting ready to party, hearty!

Also, if any one wants some HD-8M or PT-43 lens, let me know and I'll bring them along to the meet. I need to get rid of them. FREE.

Dear All;

For those bringing Lovely & Talented wives and/or significant others, there are lots of other interesting things going on in the immediate area this weekend.

1) We can gather together an impromtu Wine Tasting party for those willing to either drive or be shuttled 3 mintues to the Swedenburg Estate Winery where my Lovely & Talented wife runs the tasting room

2) The Aldie Festival is all day Saturday. Classic southern country village fall festival. Aldie is about 5 miles East of Middleburg, on Rt. 50 (putting it about 10 mintues from the Home Theater). Aldie has a completely rebuilt, working water mill. The mill is open for free tours duing the Festival.

3) There is a large outlet shopping mall in Leesburg, Virginia, about 20 mintues from the Home Theater. Lots of neat stores to deposit wages in.

William

Can we have some names for the mug-shots please. I'm never likely to meet 99.9% of the guys on this forum but it would be nice to put faces to the names/forum nicknames.

From the photo above, you're a rum looking bunch to say the least - do you get much complaints from worried mothers and old ladies!? Is the photo copyright - I need something to keep the cats out of my garden!
