WOO HOO! It's done. I've order the switcher and the Moome external box. It's hard to believe that after several years I'll finally be able to use my HDMI outs and see this pj at it's best and also never again see that damn "hi resoluton output for this DVD is prohibited and will be disabled" notice Thumbs Down Thumbs Down when I play a regular DVD. I just hope the box comes soon and without issues.( I gave up the fancy new headlights for my truck for this. I hope it's worth it......)

Thank you everyone for all of the advice and suggestions! Very Happy

Were you going with Silverstar's or an HID conversion on your truck?

Congradulations on the purchase. I see how you are going to hook that up now. That should work ok provided all your sources output HDMi and none are DVI.

I had HID lamps in the stock housings for a while then was given these as a birthday present a year ago.

Which I absolutely love the look of, but the LED's started shorting out and strobing (got me pulled over a few times for impersonating an emergency vehicile) so I finally disabled the lower LEDs. Only one of the 4 halos is working and I cannot find replacement LEDs for them.. They have really been a disappointment so I'm looking for new headlights, but I can wait.....

Crap, this is spooky. You wouldn't happen to be on another forum would you? The truck forum I'm on.... someone made the same comment. The headlights gave it a "borg" look

I suppose if I say I'm pulling the engine out of my newly acquired Miata this upcoming weekend would get me nothing but sneers of derision, huh? Very Happy

I'm a Mopar man but no. I didn't actually put the Borg thing about your truck together. I was just going with the Geek angle.

Great men think alike and so do geeks. Very Happy

Only if you're swapping in a 5.0L ford and a Corvette rear end.

Absolutely not Curt. That's a cute car. You could fit it in the bed of my truck Mr. Green

Are you rebuilding the engine or spicing it up with something new?

All stock for now. I've never owned a convertible, the rest of the car isn't in bad shape, got it for a song, now am looking at a second car for parts or just get another engine for it, if this one isn't worth rebuilding. It will just be a summer beater probably, I'll flip it after I get bored with it.

Not at all... not from me anyway. I own a Honda S2000. Roadsters are the greatest fun, especially around the coners. Smile

Curt, we may have to pull your man card for owning a Miata. At least have the decency to tell everyone it's Sparky's.

Ok, my Moome box and the switch are here. WOOO HOOOOO!!!! Any last minute advice? I'm almost a little scared Wink

With the gamma. I understand this box's adjustment are just low end boost. So technically, I shouldn't have to do another greyscale and color calibration, right...... huh, huh huh?????

I know my Marquee is middle of the road. Should I stick with everything set to 1080i or try setting them up at 1080p?

Happy Dance, Happy Dance..... no more component cables Mr. Green

Twisted Evil

I'm trying to contain myself until it gets dark here. The back door to the basement lets in a little light and I like it pitch dark when I'm "observing" the pj

Adjusting the gamma will throw off your greayscale somewhat from what I have read around here.

Try 1080i first then 1080p and see which one you like. Be forwearned though. 1080P pushes the projector harder than 1080i

Ok. Will do. I'm hoping I see an obvious difference for what these little jewels cost.

I agree with Jeremy(AR), you'll probably find sticking with 1080i will give best results unless you have a scaler to adjust porch settings. Your 1080p image will most likely be off-center on the raster and registration may be compromised.
