LCD can't sync on a PAL signal

I just got a PAL xbox. I thought for sure it would display on my SOny Bravia LCD which does all resolutions but it would not sync the PAL signal.
weird.
Confused
so I converted the XBOX to NTSC. problem solved Very Happy
