Hi guys,
Actually it's not an stealth advertising.
I just got the pictures from the seller, and wanted to hear what you think is could be worth.
Seller wants ~4000 US Dollar for it, inc shipping to me.

The audi thing wouldn't be so bad, really, since it's outside 16:9 raster - I couldn't care less what's down there, since I'll never see it. But the spot burn is another issue... I assumed they were reflections or highlights from the flash, not on the tubes themselves (didn't notice them in the 'overall' shot). Note to self.... Smile

So, if the tubes aren't spot burned, and the other burn is outside the 16:9, it's actually not bad at all...

AS is, it's still not worth $4K IMHo. Shipping from the US to Europe is about $500.

I just got a 9500 in for service. Not sure what the heck this one has been through, but:

-bad HVPS- no control over the G2 on the blue
-bad neck board on the green
-bad VIM- no green video output, test patterns work OK
-Bad HV splitter

and I'm still working on it.

Yeah but when Curt has a Runco 1100 (Barco 1209s) with a NEW green tube, 8.5 Blue and 9.5 Red, colored Red C-Element, for 4k, why would you take this awful gamble? This thing is not worth 4k, spot burn or no spot burn.

Oh, yeah, I wouldn't pay 4k for it - no way! I just meant that it's not a $100 parts junker.

Even if it didn't have the spot burn it still is not worth $4000. Not to mention the shipping charges.

Why do you say that, jask? The HV block just looks like it has a little soot on it to me - like they pretty much always do. In an automotive environment especially, the HV splitter and leads would have attracted any little but of vehicle exhaust that got into the showroom.

That machine looks pretty damn minty to me, save for the wear on the tubes and the logo burn.

Seems like it would be smokin' deal at $500 or 600, but definitely not worth anywhere near $4k.

Thanks for all of your postings, especially about the AUDI logo, not a chance in hell I saw that one...
Would be a real disappointment if I bought it.

About spotburn, don't think it's that. Looks like the lighting in the ceiling to me...

Greentube, is not that good for 4:3 since the AUDI logo, but it also might have a square in the middle of the tube. Hard to see..
So it would say it's worthless if thats the case. Might work in 16:9

One of the other tubes has minor wear, and I can't see the AUDI logo, even if I changed the contrast/brightness.
The last tube looks like a 9, without any wear.

The seller promised to take a good look tomorrow.

I'm not from Germany, from Sweden... we should have VOLVO logo instead Smile

About Shipping, it's included in those $4k

He won't ever sell it for $500, it must be worth more in parts, and the chassi has approx 2500h in total and guess it's hard to find lower ?!

Guess I have to search elsewhere, I did check here at Curts salepage on his 9500 Ultra, $7.5K, guess that is expensive even if the tubes are minty ?

Don't forget about lenses, HD10L are useless for home theatre and expensive to replace. That machine is worth about $1K in parts in Europe and it is a low hour machine. If it has good lenses on it then $2K is about the right ball-park number including delivery to you.

The seller in Germany has lowerd the price to €2300 including shipping.
Guess it could be Expensive to buy that one, if 2-3 tubes needs to be replaced.

If he sells it for €500-1000, I'll take it and can buy 3 new tubes if needed.
