great news,

VDC designed a new VNB for the Marquee's , capable of higher bandwidths than the older design.

Scott generously posted all the schematics for the new design on the other forum.

Requires an updated VIM from what I'm understanding...

Nash's ears have already perked up. I think he even took a break from pimping his longbows to get into the details on those. Laughing

I wouldn't be surprised if VDC gets a number of orders for these. Looks like a pretty nice part.

Untill they heard the answer to the six thousand dollar question (how much $$$)?

My guess is a set will likely cost more than you paid for the whole projector Laughing

Mike parker, HK-Steve, Jarmmo and I have been looking over the schematics.

Scott mentioned something that was different and then I noticed something else,
at first mike over looked it but then he saw what I saw and dove right into it and tried it on the old style VNB's.
I got a headache looking those over and comparing. Shocked

But VDC ran out of the Motorola stock of High frequency transistors that wre the main parts of the casscoding
Amp design. so Sorta out of necessity Scott had to design the same style Amp around new components and i assume used what he has learned over the years of working on the marquee to improve upon the already excellent design.

With regards to cost of them i have no idea but i assume 1000-1600 each like the old style.
But now that W hav the Schematics iI have been entertaining the thought of designing
PCB plan using eagle. it be easier if i had a VNB to look at. the pics he posted are not the best.

I dont think it be hard to draw them up, I need to practice some more.

I think it's cool to find they have been using the same caps on the main power rails that we have been putting on our old neck-cards here for some time. I think it's the same 22uf Nichikon 160 Volt I've been installing for over a year now. Thumbs Up

While you are at it, make us some turn key drop in boards for alternative tubes as well. Thumbs Up

Cadok(spelling?) resistors are highly regarded in the audiophile field as power resistors. You'll be hard pressed to find a better 15watt power resistor.
