Apologies if it's anyone here, but I just had to post my amazement at a G90 with missing YA board being listed for $3500.
Yes, I know good tubes are expensive, as are spare parts, etc. - but think about it, that much money for a donor chassis?
(walks away mumbling and shaking head)
Dan
P.S. No, I'm not downing the G90, I really hope a solution for the unobtanium chips problem is found.

Yes, that's mine. I have 27 people watching it, but will pull it off later today as I found a YA board and will relist at a higher price when the board comes in on Monday.
With 27 people watching it, I'm sure it will actually sell.

DOH! Sorry Curt, I saw the Cali source and figured it wasn't you. (But now I remember you posting about having US eBay issues being from across the border.)
Sorry man.
Dan
P.S. I'm glad to find out those listings are you. Now I can actually keep up with what you currently have in stock and buy with confidence!

The way I looked at it, the tubes are worth maybe $800 each on the used market. Considering zero wear, even on the green, there's lots of people that don't want to do the VDC thing, and these are original Sony tubes with the LC housing, so they are plug and play, even with the yokes mounted!
Then, for $1100ish, you get 100% of backup parts. And yes, other boards than the YA do fail. I have a bad SMPS and a bad V board here right now..

Ah, an analog post before he started drinking.
There were 30 watchers on the auction as is, but got confirmation last night that the working YA board is on the way. I'll relist at $5500 next week as a complete working set w/ceiling bracket, remote and original manual.

How are the tubes Curt? $5500 sounds like a really good price if the tubes are in good shape.

Tubes are mint. Zero wear. The parts donor G90 should be here any day, then I'll relist.
