I have an opportunity to inspect a BD808s for sale. I have downloaded the manuals and I am unable to determine if the hour meter will "roll over" after 10,000 hours or any other maxed out point. Thanks

I'm not sure if they roll over but my gut says they don't on a Barco. Hours really aren't too important, more important is to pull the lenses, check the tubes for wear, and project an image and make sure the tubes don't have low emissions (dim image at max settings)

Oh yes, I will absolutely check those things. Still just like to know the absolute on the hour meter thing. My last sony 1272 pulled 18000 hours before a power supply failed and the outputs were still as bright as my 4500 hour 1272 right up to the failure point. Thanks for the follow up. - I like the name

Not roll over at 10,000 hour. Maybe after 100,000 hour, but not sure.

Counter is in controller board. So if you keep chassis hours important, check if controller board serial number sticker match to other boards serial number sticker.

For sure they don't roll over at 10k hours as several of my Barco over the years were higher than that. Ile's point of checking the serial number sticker that Barco affixes to everything matches. In fact looking for that sticker is a good way to see what if anything has been replaced. Each board and many parts including the tubes will have the chasis serial number on them if original. About the only way to reset the the hours on a Barco is rumored to be a an eprom programmer.
