[CIR Engineering]

Anyone know where I might find a Y/C delay pattern that I could use on a BluRay player? Is there one on a test BD somewhere? Or is there a way to create one and then burn it in 1080 onto a DVD-R so that it is treated like a BD in the player.

I know AVIA and AVIAPro have Y/C delay patterns, but I want one that is mastered in HD because I don't want potential issues being introduced by the player's scaler.

Dr1394 from AVS has a YC delay pattern in .ts w/Rec 709 colors 1920x1080.. Almost at the bottom of the page.

If you know what you're doing, you can put that stream on a "mini-BD" (BD format on DVD). If you don't, somebody here or I can make you an image that you can just burn.

Well, I just got a nice reminder of why I stopped trying to use a bunch of crumby free software to author discs and make them do things they were never supposed to do in the first place. I like working on electronics, but authoring discs is just not something I have ever enjoyed even though I used to be pretty good at it... not my cup of tea. But after about four hours work and three coasters I am done trying myself.

If anyone else is game I would be grateful for a test disc with those patterns.
