FOR ME? Very Happy
A 73 yr old gentleman here in St. Louis is giving me a Runco IDP-900 (NEC 6PG) with Runco scan converter and ceiling mount. He says it stopped powering all three CRT's, assumes problem in power supply. I'll pick it up tomorrow and start pestering everyone here till we get it workin' right? Mr. Green

Peace.........

Personally I'd assume a problem in the cable connecting the two items FIRST, but to each his own...

I'm just going on what the old dude said. He's a retired electronics engineer from Boeing, so I figure he's looked at it once or twice.......... Laughing
I'm hoping you're right and find nothing wrong when i hook it up at home. Or maybe a fuse huh? Very Happy

I can't believe I'm corresponding with Elaine Benes! Can I get an autographed pic?

I think they owe you, Jerry, George, Kramer and The soup nazi an apology. Razz

Yes, FREE is FREE, but what I can't seem to get is some free SPACE for a hobby that takes it up in large chunks!

I'm picking it up today and will see what I got.......

Glad I'm not the only one who didn't know who Elaine Benes was. I always wondered where Paul got that monicker. Laughing

Does anyone know if there's a "service" manual available for the Runco IDP-900 (NEC 6PG) ? I didn't see one available in the downloads.
Did get all the other info and am printing it all......

Embarassed DUH!

I completely understand Curt. Hope it doesn't need too much but i'm sure i'll be needing help. Is your products for sale (projector list) up to date? I know people wanting to purchase units, and i reccommend they buy from you, but didn't know how often you update the list.

I update.. when I have time. Very Happy

I am about to do another update, but want to look at more 9" sets before I do.

Usually I have about twice as many sets in stock as are listed on the website, so if I'm out of something, I probably have one 'in the works'. It's trying to keep on top of the emails and repairs that take me away from looking at sets and cranking out lists.

Best bet is still those BG808s. I've gone through about 1/2 of them now, and am getting a 50% yield as to really nice shape saleable ones. THe rest have worn tubes, so I'm most likely scrapping them, although I might try to create a BG808sLC...Wink

It's a RUNCO IDP 900A Super IDTV II
Plugged in power cord, turned power on to standby, then pushed power on control panel.
LED for standby goes off, LED for power and remote glow but no power up on fans, etc.
After a second or two, power and remote LED's go out and standby led glows, then this cycle repeats.
Pressing power on control panel has no affect on repeating cycle.
Powered off with main switch.

(yawn) It's getting late so I'll sleep on it..........

goodnight.

Is your name Dan Arnold? Or are you "Big-D" from Arnold?

I have a 6PG Xtra here with toasted tubes that I promised to Craig Rounds but not for a while so you are more than welcome to use it for board swapping to figure out what you need from Curt. I think that most of the boards are compatible but not too sure which ones may not be. I do a half day on Thursdays at the office but I am working at our pizzeria this Thursday afternoon where it is stored. Let me know if that would help you out. If nothing else, it will allow you and Curt to trouble shoot without having to ship things back and forth.
