Very nice, very nice.
Time to upgrade, everyone! |
Yeah I have 4 Marquees I could do a quad blend with 1080p on each PJ for a 4K image!! But i need a source to pump that out and a Media filmed in 4k ! I need the 1 RED( or is the RED 1?) camera that can do that type of resolution.
|
Allthough the Red1 will record at 4k, this imager is only 3k so it actually upreses to 4k. Don't get me wrong, the pictures from this camera are incredible, but I have always found the Red1 guys a little misleading on the true resolution of the camera.

He hasn't posted for over 5 hours. Either he tripped over his car and feel face first into the boxes, or experienced multiple eyegasms by now and is passed out on his couch.

Lol funny curt ! After work I went to Home Depot and bought some casters to build a low Cart to move these around once I get them into the theater. I want to do a Blend vs stack comparison at some point. Then I got a call from my Cousin, and her and I went out for some drinks and dinner. Got home with a buzz and did crash a bit So no moving the Longbows till tomorrow or monday. i did pull the plastic cover wrap off so i could look at the lens's HD145's but not colored all clear. I have one set of HD 145's here and a set of HD 144's so I cant use them together, I'd need another set of HD145's. So if some one want to swap let me know. But these look a bit different so they might be sharper than the older lens's out there not 100% sure till i can get them inside and out of the cold and can do more a thorough look. Not sure what's behind the front lens mount plate but its done like Joust's first plates where you had to cut out the main front plate, it might be a thicker plate with a section left to screw the HD145's too, but not sure till i can open them up .
Man its nice to see a super clean looking Case it almost lets you forget that they are not that pretty!

Using colored glycol is a good idea as it will decrease halo as well. (due to the refracted light passing through a thicker layer of colored glycol)
And the new lenses might be sharper.
YOU SUCK!

They are. But even AC units have a layer of glycol up against the tube face, for cooling purposes. The "tube face" you see when you pull off the lenses is actually the front face of the glycol chamber. And unlike the glycol chamber in an LC tube, the glycol on an AC tube is pretty uniform in thickness, meaning you can tint the glycol and not worry about some areas being thicker/darker than others.

Well I built Two Table Carts today to move then longbows around, I used one of them to move the 8500 out and now I have to move the 9500LC out as well. It worked really well, the M8000 is going to stay on the Ceiling for now. These will be handy when I do a test of a side by side stack vs a Blend.
I cant get the Longbows into the House with out some help, and all my friends Suck right now. Sucks being the only single guy out of my friends, no one can do anything with out WAF !! Its times like these I am glad I's single !

These are the times you have to be creative. I have moved all of my machines (Marquee 8000, Barco 801s, and G70) on my own without too many problems. With the right tools no job is hard.

I was going to take out all the power supplies and remove the lenses as then its much easier to move around. I too have moved my other PJ's(except 9500LC) by myself but these are BRAN NEW and I don't want to f*ck them up. I have to move them outside up 6 steps intot he house then down 17 stairs to a narrow landing and then down three more steps . its getting the dolly to turn on that landing thats hard with out the PJ's scraping the concrete wall. It be asier to move them around the house to the back sliding doors of the walk out basement but its winter and the hill i have to go down is steep and could be mushy and slippery.
Zubbu your not to far away come on over and help!!!
