I'm pretty close. Tell you what: I'll cut you a deal. I'll come over and help you move one of them in, and I'll make it extra easy by taking the other one with me. Sound good? Wink

LOL easy big fella ! they look like any marquee out there just NEW !!! Very Happy I was going to attempt to try to move them in then box with out the Pallet. I just removed the adjustable tightening straps from around the pallet and then only around the Box. I then measured the width of the box and it wont fit through the door unless i put it side ways and its a bitch to get my Dolly to maneuver with it top heavy like that. it can easily tip sideways if I dont have someone to steady it. It is a U-Haul refrigerator dolly too, but i almost lost a Marquee before doing it the same way(it was in a Road case about the same size) but it got jammed into the wall of the stair case and left a big hole for the case corner. that sucked!

I'd have to cut a hole in the ceiling to fit one of those monstrosities in the same space as my Barco anyway! Wink

Athanasios, if you had WAF to worry about you wouldn't be gloating over two new Longbows!! Laughing Not to mention your mountain of tubes, your stack of projectors, ......

You met me -- I'm taller than you but I'm skinny (and old Mr. Green), and I moved my 8500 (and G70, and XG852) up & down stairs &etc by myself. I didn't move them on a dolly. I wrapped straps around them and just picked 'em up by the straps. You can't lift them by yourself with the dinky little finger grips they have, but with a decent strap you can keep your back straight and horse the projector around with your knee. Wrap your babies in a blanket before you strap 'em up and that will protect them from bumps & scratches.

Can't help you with the mushy/slippery hill, though. Maybe a sled?? Smile

ok Draganm here are the Pics I know you wanted of the lens mounts, I did the best I could with out tearing the PJ down. They are much thicker than the stock mounts so they can have some metal for the HD145 to screw into. I figured this was how they did it now seeing it has confirmed it.

HD 145 Plate

Nice clean machined slot for the HD 145's Legs.

Edge of Mounting Plate

Unwraped !!

Gary I should give it a try to at least get one into the house.
But going Down stairs is one thing going up 5 Limestone steps in the winter when its 12 degrees out is another.

I was going to take out all the power supplies and remove the lenses as then its much easier to move around. I too have moved my other PJ's(except 9500LC) by myself but these are BRAN NEW and I don't want to f*ck them up. I have to move them outside up 6 steps intot he house then down 17 stairs to a narrow landing and then down three more steps . its getting the dolly to turn on that landing thats hard with out the PJ's scraping the concrete wall. It be asier to move them around the house to the back sliding doors of the walk out basement but its winter and the hill i have to go down is steep and could be mushy and slippery.

Sounds like an awkward maneuver, I wish I was closer to give you a hand Buddy. I have been stuck moving Marquees myself so many time it is not funny
I can do a 9500 up the stairs 909`s I need a little hand Wink . Shut the kitchen down and bring the guys over .

cool, that's exactly how I did the last few 8500's I added the 145's to. It also looks like they added a spacer to the back which is critical to get the lens much closer to the tube face where it needs to be.

here is how I moved them in:

Tipped the box on end with the lens side up against the dolly.

then I had to get them up these steps.... My moms Dog Tequilla, i'm dog sitting, was no help. !!

I got up two steps and could not get a good grip with my feet and almost lost it.... but right at that moment when i was taking a break and trying deperately to find a footing where there was no salt my Tenant and his two friends (who are all teamsters) ran over and helped me get them into the house!!! Wheeeeooouuuu!!!!! Talk about in the Nick of time!!!

Very HappyVery HappyVery Happy

Wow, that could have really sucked if you'd slipped. Glad they got inside safely. Thumbs Up

Crack those puppies open and take pictures. I'd like to see what a new CRT projector looks like inside.

Nah, these are built like tanks. I've dropped a 9500LC 3' to a concrete floor, and while an HD10L lens was toast, the set kept going. Smile
