I'm thinking about buying one of these. Anybody ever use one? Only $99 at buy.com.

It is only too good to be true if it plays blurays in MKV format without tearing. If it was networked then it would be the winner.

BUy one and let us know how it works.

I just ordered one. Will it play the VOB files inside a DVD folder if I just rip a DVD to the hard-drive?

It won't play VC-1 in a MKV container. It will play AVC in a MKV container. Go figure..

I don't think it handles flac in a video file either. Only as a music only file.

so the popcorn hour a110 might be the best to consider then? it will do the HD audio and netork streaming. i don't really need the streaming part, is there any other that can do the the HD audio/video well, but not networking?

thanks!

I've been seriously considering the Popcorn Hour A110 but at ~$350 Canadian by the time I have it in my hands I'm a little hesitant.

Chris.

This device rocks !! Very Happy
Plays VC-1, AVC, H264 in .m2ts also passes through DTS core from DTS HD MA and DD core from DD HD

I've also converted .EVO files to M2TS and it plays it fine.

No PC, No noise, setup is so simple.
