Porschecab is legit as far as I know. He's a member at avs I think.
He sold one the other day (this one?) for $2550. I bid $2100 and got outbid, so I gave up.
The $150 G90 was legit. I heard from the buyer looking for info on it.

He is legit. He's been around for awhile. I emailed him just to see what the deal was. Here is his response:
Yes, indeed. When we first attempted to sell it we did a no reserve - we just wanted to move it. I have no fewer than 110 questions 107 were ridiculous, from folks that don't even know what it is.
Sold once (now twice) and both time the buyer 'didn't realize the physical size'. Come on. Read or do some research! Everyone wants to know about phosphorous burn and hours. Originally my installers told me there were 700 hours on the bulbs. Hence, the listing of 700 hours. Then, they said they were not sure that they had confused it with another customers. I recall there being 3,100 hours on the unit a long time ago, so estimation of 3,800 might be high. At the end of the day, I haven't the interest in removing it from the packaging, bringing it home (sitting at the freight company dock as it had 'sold') to check it. It is likely worth $5,000 to $6,000, but honestly don't have the interest or time to do what it takes to verify. Someone will get a great projector for a great price here. Just takes a risk taker.
He only wants to deal with some local so he doesn't have to go through this again. Cash in hand and make the exchange in person. His pics and auction have been used by scammers a couple of times as well.
Doc
P.S. The CL G90 was legit? How many hours or any other info? Just so we can all cry in our soup about the deal we missed out on.

I wasn't suggesting the seller wasn't legit. I've seen plenty of his ads for high end gear on a couple of sites. Its just that this G90 has had an unusual history on Ebay.
The CL G90 was legit. Had it sold out from under me If i remember correctly it had 5000+ hours on the tubes, but at $150 who cares...
