I finally was able to get a few tools and mess witht he ecp tonight. Needed a tweaker to adjust some of the pots on the power deflection boards. My dad had one from when he got his heathkit.
Anyways. I'm quite happy with getting this set-up mostly for the space I have and the screen I built.
The screen is a 93" diagonal 1.85:1 ratio. I followed the suggestions I found on here to build the screen. Except I used a painter's canvas drop cloth for the screening.
As far as the picture, I'm using the full width of the phospher, but I still need to bring the pj back about a foot.
Aside from the minor details, I'm quite happy with this projector. Rich colors, DEEP blacks. Can't wait to throw a 1080i picture at it.
I really need to setup the theater space quite differently. The ceiling has white tiles on it, the walls are a stained/poly wood paneling. Too much light reflection.
I'll post screen shots soon enough.

I guess I didn't explain. I'm using full width phospher, but I'm not full width on the screen.
