Good morning ,
I'm nott sure who to address this to hoping you guys can direct me. I purchased a Moome EXT HDMI external converter from a forum member who upgraded, I received the unit and it has been sitting dorment for a good few months. Finally i purchased a ps-3 and am now trying to hook it up. I pruchased an rgbhv to rgbhv cable to hook up to my E-home 8110 from the external box. All seems to work except for the blue line there is not blue output. I've tested the new cables and it seems to work, i've also tested the rgbhv input card into the projector and also tested the hdmi cable and all works great. the only thing which doesn't make contact is the B output from the external moome box. Is there a dip switch that will enable the blue or could it be defective ? if it is defective is there someone in toronto that has experience with these units as i dont want to ship it back to china.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There are no dip switches inside, double check your cables by using swapping two colors and see if the problem follows the cable. If you can remove the cover on the EXT-HD, check the small coax jumpers that go from he circuit board to the rear panel BNC jacks, most likely a bad solder connection. wiggle them while watching your projector. I could do a minor repair for you but I am in the USA. Scott

What color are you seeing on screen? There are a number of things that could be happening here:
The EXT-HD might not be set to correctly sync with your projector. IIRC, there are jumpers in the EXT-HD box to help with this.
It's also possible you have an unmodified first batch EXT-HD. They showed green screens sometimes, and there was a mod kit that addressed this and some other issues. This required swapping out an EEPROM and replacing several tiny surface-mount components. There was a forum member up in Canada doing the work for North American customers on Moome's behalf.
Last, you may be trying to output 24Hz with the PS3. There's another post in this area similar to yours. and the problem turned out to be that he was trying to feed 24Hz to his CRT projector, and that isn't a good idea. Even if the projector could accept that scanrate, the flicker would be horrible.

It sounds like the same problem I had with the no blue output from my EXT-HD.
Not sure if you have a box with the BNC output option, or the standard 15 pin single output port connector. Mine only has the standard 15 pin RGB connector.
I was about ready to give up when I noticed that the blue worked when I had the case off the unit, but not with the case on.
Turns out the box doesn't have a big enough cutout clearance around the RGBHV output connector. When you plug the RGBHV cable into the connector on the box, it hits against the box and won't seat fully forward. The result is that the blue pin on the cable can't make contact.
I took a file and made the cutout in the case bigger. and the blue is fine now.
