Good writeup!
It dawned on me after seeing the pic of the fat guy in the grey shirt that maybe the attendee absence is due to the general public and not industry people. I wonder if CES has a break down of attendees. CES has gotten so big that everyone all over the world wanted to go just to see the newest stuff. With the economy the way it is, I bet a lot of those people that used to go just for fun decided to read Curt's report.Smile

They are pretty tough to get in. You can't just walk off the street and go in. It's a bit lame I admit, but you need business cards to get in. I got Sparky some cards, and registered online. Easy Peasy.

True, but I am sure most people that want to go already know how to get in. I remember Darin telling me something similar about Infocomm. He thought I might not get in, but I just laughed. I showed up, gave them a business card and info and told them I was expanding my business to enter the market. Easy Peasy. Laughing

Too true. I used the 'airlines lost the 'secretary's luggage with her cards in it' line 2 years ago, and a 'supervisor' had to come over and approve her badge. Smile It was my g/f at the time, she didn't work for me..

Heck, with the low attendance this year, you'd figure the solicitors would be out there giving out hooker business cards along with free CES passes. Gawd knows the AVN attendence probably didn't suffer as much as CES this year..Very Happy
