I was using 1080p 48Hz and has been for some time (used 1080i 72Hz, but didnt like the scanlines).
Encouraged by this thread I set up 1080i 96Hz on my BG1209s.

To me, the result is much better (both in sharpness, "flow" of the picture and no flicker). Thanks for the tip!

So 1080i 96hz looks good on a 1209?

I've never seen it on a 9"er.

It sure does.

I will stick with 1080i 96Hz. (for now atleast, I have said that for other resolutions/rates before... Smile ).

1080i 72Hz looked great on my previous 8", but on the 1209 I could see scanlines on moving objects. With 96Hz, this is all gone.

I finally got 1080i96Hz to work last night on my XG. Does anyone have issues with noise in bright areas of the image?

Yes there is some, but I check mine against 804p at 72hz and it was still there.

Thanks Mark, yes it is still there at 804 72Hz. I just started playing around with Windows 7 and found that if I load the Catalyst 9.1 drivers without CCC I don't have do any funny stuff to get Powerstrip to take Kai's timings. It goes into interlaced bango just like XP did. Haven't tried the new drivers with Vista yet.

What timings would I use for 1080i/96 from a Lumagen HDQ to the latest Moome HDMI card? I don't have a PC card in the chain, so I cannot use the timings posted for Powerstrip users. It would not sync.
