Should a setup need adjusting periodically?

I have a d50 and set it up. It looked perfect( well perfect for a d50) and about 6 months has gone by and now I see it needs some adjusting to get the tubes overlapped again. Is this normal?

Hello

Yes, there will be slight changes to devices on the various circuit boards involved with sweep and convergence, and perhaps to the yokes on the tube necks. Allow one hour of warmup before aligning, for best results.

my 1352LC didn't budge a smidge for 2.5 years after setup, but I agree with Tim(my NEC was the exception to my CRT usage) and would do a checkup once a year at minimum

I find I need a subtle tweak (2 minutes) twice a year as the seasons change. Otherwise it's rock solid.

Thanks for the advice. Seems to be just the bottom corners that are out.

Same here. It's a sign of an excellent mechanical and electronic setup though, and usually cannot be expected to be the case when you do your first CRT setup.
It requires experience and perseverance to get to that point.

Hah, this is funny and timely. I just did a 2 minute touch up on my G/F's D50 about 20 minutes ago. Needed about 3 clicks of point and 1 click of centring. I installed it in ...June I think so about 6 months
