I'm definitely going to do this with my Barco...and I want to know who has long term success with this and what ink did you use?
In reading the how to, I noticed that the red was already correct before adding tinted glycol...and the result after was too much red or at least a deeper red than the standard calls for...makes me think that just tinting the green might get the best colors possible from a Barco..any thoughts?

stolen glycol might be cloudy (but I have already consdered it as an option)...I wouldn't mind replacing with new tinted glycol.
Where might I find the ink?

I wouldn't think that's as likly with the AC tubes. There's no alauminium for the glycol to react to. No?

Yes, as far as I remember reading here. Glycol is corrosive and reacts with the aluminium and forms crystals in suspension.
I know someome will correct me if I'm wrong.

I wouldn't mess around with tinting glycol, the colored glycol is easy to find in burnt tubes and you never really know the long term effects of mixing your own. I used glycol out of a Barco 801 in by Marquee and it worked great, no cloudy glycol and the barco was ~14 years old.

I think the point is, it's a much easier and there is no guesswork involved if you simply use the colored glycol from an old Sony. I have some tubes from a 10XX in great condition if you're interested. The colored glycol is crystal clear. The only thing is I'm not sure if there is enough to fill the slightly bigger tubes of an 808. Pay shipping and they're yours.

Ive done it, but be careful because it's very easy to add too much color. Good news is after 2 years of sitting on a shelf the Dye is still fully emulsified.

I forget where,but it was a musical instrument builders supply place. It's called Stewart Mcdonald Colortone Concentrated liquid stain. Cherry Red and Bright Green. It one takes 1 or 2 drops of each with green being the more concentrated (use less).

I used tinted c-elements and just matched them visually. According to the charts that were posted here in the past both Red and Green on unfiltered CRT is off, Red towards Orange and green towards yellow.

My red and green have tinted c-element since I'm LC.

Measurements:
IMHO, green and blue are almost bang on. You won't notice the subtle difference. And red is simply slighly oversaturated. It's not leaning into orange at all which is the typical problem. I'm really happy with the colours on my Zenith 1200.
Here's an important graph to consider:
Green is typically the problem. A stock green on a CRT projector without tinting tends to push yellow which just doesn't look good.

I read all that...and if you look at the primaries of the unfiltered Barco, the red seems to be bang on. I was simply saying, perhaps there's no need to filter red on this projector. Of course green is required...I understand that, and I fully intend to do it via colored glycol.
Are SMPTE C primaries the same for SD and HD color spaces?

Nope. There are slight differences. In software (like ColorHCFR) you choose either SD or HD solely for the reason to see how close you are to the SD or HD primary numbers. You can run the software and try toggling between both and see in this menu in ColorHCFR:
