Hello
Primered is $2495 but you will have to rivet in the metal screen after painting. $2395 each for a pair for my blending customers.

Here we go. Gloss finish, no flames, $2795 each includes Fedex Ground in the lower 48. Add $100 for Canada. With flames, add $700. Availability 45 to 60 days since all the molds are stored way out of town and would have to be retrieved.
A few additional holes might be needed along the sides of the frame, rhese can be drilled by most of you.

ouch.
If I'd paid $30K for my projector, I guess that price would seem about right.
I'll have to stick with my "Buick panels"; foregoing the Audi R8 look.
I'd probably spend too much time staring at the case anyway; instead of the projected image.

Plastic surgery isn't cheap
A nice hushbox would be much cheaper.

Hello
Not really. Vidikron charged $50K for a $33K Marquee and the difference was the lid, just to put this in perspective..........

Incredible - does this sort of pricing mark-up still go on in this day and age (and current financial climate)? Maybe not for crt's I suppose but any other home theater mark-ups going on? Just wondering.

Holy! ....I can see why the molds are in storage. That's just an insane amount of money. Too rich for my blood for a pj that's teetering on the brink of obsolescence. (sp). I'd rather throw the $3k at a SOTA digital (forgive me Lord).
Those molds will eventually sell for scrap at those prices...and the irony is they won't fetch any more than 25 bucks...and will eventually be melted down and turned into a Prius. Too bad. They (the molds) need to be sold to somebody who isn't going to market the finished product like it's 2001.

I pay more to not have the flames.
That first case is seriously ugly.
Shape is fine but the flames... not for me.

way off the wall for teh pricing i would see if you can buy the molds. It is really easy to make the panels and pop them out of the mold. And the paint and prep of a molded fiberglass product is really not much the mold makes the piece come out smooth and shiny if the mold is made correctly. I used to make cowls and scoops for cars. this is way crazy. really the materials involved are only about 100 dollars if that. I would rather buy a 50+ inch flat screen.
