Axioms, downturns, and a global (computer?) crash
It has become popular in recent years to think of computers as intelligence multipliers; but ancient computer science wisdom holds that computers are also stupidity multipliers. So if "the network is the computer," and "there's a sucker born every minute," then the current economic turmoil may reflect a whole lot of computer-amplified stupid.
I found this highly amusing and very actual in life. Working in a company with so many employees its always a case the stupid will blindly, or even maliciously, open email with attachments that lead to virii attacks on a weekly basis.
Add to this the cowsumer bliss to forward ignorant stupidity by implementing wireless home network with no protection what so ever and the end result is that they should all be visited by the secret service.
