As far as using the PC as a test generator, I'm curious of there are any pattern generators besides 'Align' from ImTech that CRT users have found useful.
Apparently, I was mistaken- the RGB focus can be set for each recall memory- and it helps a great deal.
I appreciate everyone's input!

Hi Mark,
There's one from NEC floating around, that I have heard
will make a nice dot pattern. But I haven't tried it - just always
use my little extron pattern generator box.
Tell me more about getting the separate RGB focus memories
to work for your set-up. I never had any luck with the v6.2(?)
firmware, and have version 4.3 in my other machine.

Apparently, the magic firmware number is V4.4. . I can confirm that each recall memory maintains its own set of RGB focus parameters.
I'll look around for the software, but I also get the impression that a standalone generator would be superior, not to mention quicker than starting the PC every time.
