|
|
Hello,
I need help to identify the problem with my projector NEC 9PG.
Is been broken for 5 months now and my wife is pushing me to by a "digital" one if can't be fix it. Last thing what I want to do it. Please help.
Issues:
After powering on, I can hear the HV and just after (5-10s) the projector goes to stand by. No error messages. after couple of sec is powering on by itself and the same.
Replaced the C card, nothing change.
If I remove the power from F card - error F08
All capacitors from PSU has been replaced.
If I measure the +35V output I have +39V and instead of -35V I have -41V
Thank you for all sugestions.
Marion

Try reseating the board's in the cage. What do the leds on the deflection board do while trying to start? Are all the fans running when it tries to start?
F08 is 3 digits. There should only be 2.

Are either of the red LEDs on the deflection board lit when the set is powered up?

Hello,
The leds on the deflection board flash red for 2-3 sec. (replace the deflection board with the same model, nothing change)
The fans start to spin and stop when the Pj goes in stand by.
Removing the power connection from the F board, error F8 is showing (sorry for the extra digit in my last msg)
Removing the power connectors from C board (F board connected) just showed 00 on the back or would flash various garbage - too fast to see.
What I need to do, to reset the boards?
Thank you guys for your help.

hi correction:
Removing the C board power connector with F board connected: error F8 shows
Removing the F board power connector with C board connected, no error - the Pj flas something (to fast to see) and show 00 after.

Disconnect both the F and C boards. If that doesn't power it up, the power supply might be bad.

Both C and F card disconnected, the PJ goes in stand by after 4-5 sec. The display flash FX (too fast to see) and show 00.
After 1-2 sec, try to start again by itself and again stand by after 4-5 sec.
I'm using the remote control to start the pj. No remote software.
After pushing on on button the PJ start to cycling ON->standby->ON . The off button on the remote do not work. I need to push on main power button to stop it.
Thank you for your help. I appreciated.

Hello guys,
The problem is coming from power supply?
Or I have a short what drive the PSU in stand by?
(the HV I can heard at start and with F and C card disconnected nothing change) The deflection board has been replaced without changes.
Thanks

I would then guess the LVPS. I've got those if you need one.
