However intelligent one may be, or how ever so accurate in one's analysis - the point is -
quite simply - that this is the crt section of a wide-ranging forum. And more particularly,
it a a thread started by a fellow who just got a BG808S - a very capable and reliable,
easy to set up and fun to tweak machine which can throw a great picture. What part of
of this calls for a completely redundant analysis of the endless debate of digital ownership,
I just am too dumb to understand. It stands to reason that if I am posting in this forum,
whether I have one crt or ten, I am looking for input on crt - not another technology.
Most people who have stuck with crt to this point have made their decision for their own
reasons - We know what it costs, we have seen well setup digitals, we have lcd monitors,
we have digital camera's, we use the internet and computers, and still - with all this,
there are people building and buying crt's. Why - why not - some like the smooth motion
and multiscan capability, some just like to tweak, some like old stuff that can be repaired,
and some just may be contrarian luddites. In any case, why not just move on - there's plenty
of digital forums, plenty of technical details to discuss, plenty of new friends to make....

Or - as I suspect - your intent is only to befuddle and annoy - I can suggest a larger
audience for your carefully reasoned yet completely irrelevant preponderances -

Try the 4WD forum - tell them how your honda is ever so much more rational...
Why would anyone want that big V8 and who needs to crawl thru the woods anyhow?

Or maybe the 'big boob' forum - elucidate your engineering analysis of the small
perky variety - get into the environmental aspect of ever increasing bra sizes.....

or maybe get into the big game forum - convince them with well considered
arguments how your vegetarian regime is clearly better....

Or heck - go for the big time - try a gun forum - tell them all about Ghandi....

This is a good point, and I apologize to the OP for any tangents my comments may have caused or contributed to. He deserved better.
