So I just got my HDFury2 and tried hooking it up through 5BNC. When I did, the PJ went a little haywire (displayed a checkered pattern momentarily) and then appeared to shut down. It was still on, but the rasters were just lit up enough to see and then shut off by itself.
What the heck did I do to it? And what do I check?
BTW - does the PJ automatically select an active input? Becasue I can't figure out how you would switch between inputs.

Try swapping your sync leads (HV) but even if they were backwards it still should not shut down the projector. To switch between say input 5 and input 3 just hit 5 or 3 on the remote.

If using 5 BNC input from the Fury, you want to push "5" on the PJ remote (which turns it on and selects that input as RGBHV.

Well, now with no inputs connected, the PJ will output a skewed picture and has poor focus in portions. If I go to adjustments, it will briefly show the grid pattern, and the screen goes blank. After about 1 minute, the full white (but skewed) screen will come back on.
What the heck?

Take a pix of the test grid.
Check all green LEDs on the G2 board.

Make sure you are not trying to send the projector 1080p @ 24Hz....I don't think any CRT projector will sync at that refresh rate.

OK - very interesting. I removed the cover to open the rear metal "plate" and everything went back to normal. The focus, brightness, etc is all back.
Kal - you are correct - this was a CRT issue, NOT a HDFury2 issue.
All is well again and I'm pretty stoked.
Thanks for all of your help.

Could be a pinched wire to the controller or coils.
