I'm pretty sure you are right about that Mike. Maybe some games out there have deep color but I don't game on the CRT at all and don't plan to. I wish I had never seen that LED on the Moome now as it's driving me crazy thinking I'm missing out on something. What I really need to do is set up an A/B picture comparison of the following:

A: HDMI out of the AV receiver directly to the Moome card. (12 bit LED lit on card)

B: HDMI out of the AV receiver, into the VP50, out to the Moome card. (neither 10 nor 12 bit LED lit on card)


One way I get 72hz framerate and the other way I get 60hz framerate with whatever the 12 bit processing in the Moome does. I really like being able to do the 24hz to 72hz tripling but if bypassing the VP50 yields a better overall picture then I may go back to what I had before.


I know Dave must be dieing to chime in right about now and I would welcome his input. Smile
