I have a used Sony VPHD50Q projector with a Marantz RC5000 remote and a Yamaha RXV2092 AV reciever with a 90" diagonal Stewart screen and Luxus screenwall. Is there any market for these used items? Where? Thanks. tbh

Please read the rules, no projectors for sale on these forums please, Curt has kindly allowed us to talk about anything here and trade what we like but his money and living comes from selling projectors and he dispenses a great deal of time on helping many of us so please refrain from selling your projector here, thanks. Aside from that, welcome to the forums and yes there is a market for crt projectors.

If you are parting the projector and other items out then there is no problem with that. If you want to sell the projector complete I would suggest http://www.videogon.com or maybe Craigslist.

For all projectors these days it really comes down to tube condition, particulary for a lower end set like you have. The market south of the 9" sets has gone south so to speak (the 9" market appears softer these days too). If the tubes show any signficant wear you might be better parting it out. Otherwise for a low end set like that as others have stated trying videogon and craigslist. You really want to find a local buyer because one it is easier and two the cost of shipping that said is probably equal to or nearly equal to it value.

To determine the value use Ebay, Videogon and Google (which frequently caches older items) to figure out what it is probably worth. Also look items that actually sold. You see all kinds of crazy pricing on CL, espeically. The stuff that is priced right tends to move quick and so what you frequently see in older add on CL is stuff that is priced to high.
