|
|
I recently got my IFB-FULLHD and am using it in YCbCr with my PS3.
For my PC, Xbox360 and standard DVD player I would like to use it in the RGB/0-255 mode.
Every time I power cycle the projector it comes up in RGB/16-235 and I need to hit the B button on the remote to switch it to the other mode.
Is there a way to get it to come up in RGB/0-255 by default?

You need to switch the source device to output RGB. Something is happening with the EDID communication forcing the change.

I do want to use the PC and Xbox360 in RGB/0-255, and they are setup that way.
When the G90 turns on, the IFB-FULLHD starts up with the status light on the 16-235 mode, and stays that way regardless of the input source settings. It only goes into the 0-255 mode when I manually press the B button on its remote. It behaves the same with all four of my source devices (PC, PS3, Xbox-360, and Oppo-DVD) - they can all be set to RGB/Full and directly connected to the IFB-FULLHD but it always starts up in 16-235.
I could go either way with the DVD player and will probably switch it to use YCbCr, but the PC and Xbox360 only support RGB and because I'm using them with other displays I'd like to keep them in 0-255. I'm not using them for video, but rather games and computer generated content produced in that mode. The other displays in my studio along with the G90 are a Panasonic digital projector and desktop LCD monitors. The panasonic is flexible, but the desktop monitors only really support RGB/0-255 via their DVI input.
My older Moome v1.3 HDMI card worked great with all my sources set to RGB/Full. All the displays were calibrated to that and worked fine with any of the source devices.
The IFB-FULLHD does work with them set to 0-255 but it makes me sad that I have to press the remote button every time I switch to one of them. I was hoping that at best there would be a jumper or at worst and EDID update that could get it to either default to 0-255 for RGB or detect the proper mode.

I had an email reply from Moome, and it is possible to set it up to default to 0-255, but will require an update to the card.
For now I'll live with just pressing the B button when I want to use one of those sources.
