So my setup is pretty good, at least the end viewing is. That being said, any time I move the electronic focus adjustment up or down there is movement in the screen image.
I have played with the 2pole and focus coil a bit and everything appears centered. Did I just not do a good enough job centering everything? Or is some movement accceptable and my image wouldnt be any better if it were "perfect".

I guess I didn't write my statement with enough detail. My setup appears to be correct, centered dots, round dots, center matched on the tube face etc using all purely physical changes of the focus coil and the different magnets. Still, when I adjust the electronic focus the position on screen changes.
Those documents don't add much to this. Is some level of movement while adjusting focus "acceptable" or is the answer "get back in there and continue tweaking as something isn't quite right".

Hi Scot, you made yourself perfectly clear. Yes a little movement is ok just not as much as you say it is. Even though your dots are perfect just as the document says they should be you can still have movement if you did not null the CPC magnets correctly. After you are done doing them the right way you should be able to ramp the focus from 0-100 and not see any movement. It takes time to figure out when they are actually nulled. you know they are when you rotate them back and forth and the grid does not move much at all. Since you got nice round dots already just Keep at and you'll get it to where there is no or very little movement.

I also got this from Guy Kuo's write up, at the end of his paper there is the CPC (Color Purity Control) Magnet section he states this:
| Guy Kuo wrote: | | Go back and forth between the 2 and 4 pole adjustments to get things right. As a final check, carefully watch the dots as you go from under to over focused. The dots should stay almost motionless as you vary the beam focus. If they move, redo the 2 pole adjustment. |
