Try connecting a wire from then Mux to another piece of your equipments chasis that has a three prong plug(grounded) and see if it helps at all.

Any thoughts on what would happen if I use a Power Supply that has a 3 prong ground but puts out a tad more power?

I wouldnt do that, the chips in the MUX might be sensitive to any higher power input. All you need to do is touch some wire from the MUX chasis(screw) to the chasis of another component and see if it goes away. You most likely have a ground loop. Or try to disconnect any cable box or sat box cable input to each box and see which one is causing the the hum.You may have to run a new ground wire from where the incoming cable/sat coax comes in and is grounded and ground it to the same ground as all your other equipment.

A power supply can't push "more power" than the device asks for. The source pulls. The voltage of the new power supply needs to be the same but the current it can supply can be higher than the original.

I had a commercial electrician friend come double check a few things yesterday.

When I had purchased the new loadcenter (Breaker Box) the first thing he had done was to install the supplied copper fitting that bonded the neutral bus bar to the panel. Residential electricians from another company actually installed the panel.

We opened up the loadcenter & lo & behold un-installed laying on the bottom was this copper fitting. He put it back in its rightful place & now the MUX-HD causes no shrill audio effects.

Hmmm, I had to remove mine when I added the Isolation transformer between my main and sub panel box, That screw ties the ground to the neutral.
