|
|
Hi all -- I need some help in locating a part for my HDM. Two of the width coil adjusting slugs on my HDM are broken. The small white plastic sleeve around which the red wires are wound is broken, and I would like to replace them.
Any idea for a source for these babies? or do I need to cannibalize a used HDM?

Those are hard to find, I broke one and carefully desoldered it it and glued it together with super glue, and its worked fine since. I hate those paper tubes !!!!
It sucked too becaus i pulled the coil off the tube while it broke So i had to rewind it and compare that wind to another HDM I had here as they are not all the same. it takes a steady hand. Curt might have some spares or Tim.

The coil winding part of those puppies is the reason I don't want to repair them. Thanks for the tip. I'll try Curt and/or Tim.

Just sent a PM back. I just put heat shrink tubing over the whole thing and heat so that holds everything in place.

Ya gotta love it when a businessman tells you just fix it, you don't need to buy stuff from me!
Thanks a ton Curt.

Where do you obtain a plastic tool to adjust these?
I can't seem to find all plastic anywhere.

I would like one. I don't see them offered for sale on your web site. How do we do the deal?
