The problem will most likely be the coil or the control circuit.
You said when you swapped the blue and green neither worked???. That would suggest both blue coil and circuit are gone.
Try it again. Swap connectors for blue and green.
1. If green works and blue doesn't the problem is a bad blue coil.
2. If blue works and green doesn't the problem is a bad blue convergence board.
3. If neither work, then blue coil and circuit is bad.

To check coils, get a cheap multimeter. Set it to ohms (resistance). Place it across the coil. The resistance should read roughly the same for all three coils. A bad coil will probably read close to zero or infinity.

Not sure how you could check a bad circuit. Probably just get a new one.

Note, if both blue coil and circuit were gone, it may suggest a shorted blue coil which in turn fried the circuit. But you said the green coil was fine after you swapped it back. This is the problem with swapping parts to test. You can end up blowing more good parts in the process. Be careful!

Thanks Tommo,yep the green is fine onece replaced but both dont work once swapped.Where are the coils?And curcuit?I have no Idea where all this stuff is.

O.k got myself a cheap multimetre.I assume I need to check the "deflection convergence coil"which is closest to the face of the tube?are we talking about the large copper coil surrounding it?I'm lost,give me a house and I'll build it with my eyes closed but this stuff is all new to me,but I must say the challenge is most stimulating.
Can someone please guide me as to what exactly to do,sorry for all the noob stuff but I really need the help.

Set the meter to read ohms, then firmly connect the probes together. The meter should read a low value, near zero. This proves the meter works, and tels you what a zero reading is (i.e. it may not say 0).

Unplug the projector, and wait for a while (an hour would be more than enough). Then unplug the conectors for the coil (note where they all go, so you can put them back) from the board.

At the connector, you need to find the wires that go to the coil. You then attach the probes of the meter (set to ohms) to each coil in turn. Be carefull not to bend anything with the probes.

All three sould be about the same reading +- a small amount. If one coil has a reading of 0 ohms (or about what you get with the probes connected together), then it is shorted. If one coil has a reading that is infinate (the same as holding the probes apart), then it is open.

If the readings are random and confusing, then you are doing something wrong, such as not making good contact.
