Is it on with the yellow light on or off? Seems like when its off? Also is it a simple on/off? does not seem like it changes once the yellow light is off.

Which Moome HDMI card? The IFB-HD?

The Gamma's not an on/off thing with this card. It's adjustable from off to maximum boost. See the owner's manual and FAQ thread: https://www.curtpalme.com/forum_archived/viewtopic.php@t=5516.html
