'bout time, the whole forum was coming to a standstill so we've been bitching about politics to keep some activity.
Where have you been?

Wow He's closed the gap 300 in just 19 days. I think he's going for another gold medel for Canada!
I'm back temporarly. I got home to discover Rogers' internet is sill down, they left me a message on my answering machine about my acount that I paid right before I left. I had to invade my mom's place and use her computer just so I could get my forum fix.
I hope to get it straitened out by next week.

That would have worked as I was on the north coast of Newfoundland in a house with no phone, no internet, no cable a 20" TV with a VHS, DVD player and a set of rabit ears that can pick up CBC ( is anyone else sick of they olympics? )
I shot lot's of film and spent a 98.9% analog time there. I did shoot some digital but just of the locations where I had the analog camera's set up.

Is that a Canon Elan or Elan II? I have a Elan II if you want a spare.

It was a redeux of my 2006 trip but to some different area's and unfortunatly no Sony 1252 this time 'round. I tore a muscle in my right arm moving a Sony 32" CRT I bought for my mom about 2 month's ago and I couldn't cary the projector.
If you ever get a chance to drive US route 2 across Vermont, New Hampshire, and then route 9 in Maine do it. It's a great drive. We crossed over the boarder to St Stevens in New Brunswick and conected up with the Trans Canada highway and then up through Nova Scotia and across Cape Bretton island. There we caught a ferry boat to Newfoundland. Once there we drove some more to the house. That is some beautiful scenery. It's great watching the green change as you go from Vermonth green ( lot's of seasonal tree's that loose their leaves ) to Newfoundland green ( mainly evergreens ) it's a darker, blacker green.
If you are looking for a great driving trip try it. I drove 6400km in 19 days, but most of that was in 2- 26 hour periods. Jeeze I feel tired just thinking about it.

That's and Elan IIE. Nice handling camera. I did a vacation in 2001 with it and shot 1100 frames in 6 days. I love the mid roll rewind feature. I was swaping from Kodak slide to Fuji Slide to color print film then to black and white print and over to black and white slide. All mid roll. It's great for that.
