On my Marquee 7500 (just a 8110 with a different name I think) with HD145 lenses. I have no problem reading small text in icons etc. Running 1920x1080@96i
It should be somewhat comparable as I run H and V size all the way to 0 to cope with the 10k h wear on the rubes. The magnetics is out of whack and even focus is not spot on. I have pretty much turned it on, done the convergence, G2/drive, quick focus and toe-in. Projecting onto a black out curtain (Tupplur from IKEA). It still looks stunning and I can only imagine what it will look like when I have set it up properly.
And hopefully find good tubes.
I can take a screenshot of the screen when I have the time.
The only thing I hate about movies now is the subs. They lit up the entire room. Granted the room is my bedroom with just about white walls floor and ceiling. It is not totally dark during the day but I still enjoy it.

Thanks for posting those shots, they look good from a picture so I'm sure in person it would look even better. It seems I don't have to worry about text not being readable, it looks plenty sharp enough. Brightness doesn't seem like it will be an issue either if I control the light. I was afraid of that because the brightness on this lumenlab machine I built is so sub-par. The brightness is uneven, its much dimmer in the corners than the center, and its actually dim enough that even in a totally dark room, darker games are almost unplayable and certain scenes in movies are too dark to watch really. It looks like a 12xx would be a huge upgrade for me. I'm going to continue saving up towards a 12xx. Thanks for all of your help everyone, this has made my decision a lot easier.

Glad we could help.
How long do you think it will be before you save enough to get one?
I you have a birthday or something coming up, maybe ask for cash towards your "hobby fund"?

Cool, that will give me a reason to "hurry" and move stuff around. I'll try to get my projector moved, setup, and take more pictures before before you buy. I'll try to get nicer screenshots too.
