Well they seem to have it covered
I'm sort of new here anyhow, so I let people with more experience do this sort of thing. I tend to comment on projectors I have, or know something about. It cuts down on clutter if nothing else.

I agree with what they said... do a setup and run the projector for awhile before you spend any money on accessories. Then you learn how to set it up, and what you can expect out of a CRT projector. Also whether it is even reliable or not.
Also, as they said before 1080i and 720p are the resolutions you should run. 1080p very likely is too much for your 7" CRT... the picture will appear "soft" or fuzzy.

Most have been around here long enough to realize that too much info can overwhelm a newbie and discourage them. So as long as whoever jumps in first is giving sound advice the others just sit back and read. If another question arises and nobody responds for awhile then they will jump in. To much can be confusing. The fact that you have over 600 reads is a big plus. I think alot here are curious about your projector because its a rare beast and many are anxious to see some screen shots after a good setup.

Right on the money, And As I said before, if you really get stumped I live about 4 hours from you here in buffalo, I dont mind road trips, if you get in a jam I could always drive up to help you one evening, Wed's are my day off as I work weekends so i could drive up in the early afternoon and help you out once you think your getting close and almost there. I can help you out with the more involved set up technics too. I had no one to help me out and got everything i know form this forum and AVS. I would also be willing to bring up my blu ray player and scaler and really see what this thing can do.

Isopopyl alcohol (tape head cleaner) may remove the PCB laquer, and can also eat plastic parts. Denatured would most likley be safer.
As per the instructions on many a bottle of stuff.... Test first on a hidden area.

Well thank you to all for your answers to my many questions. I got my P7300U up and running after a whole day of taking it apart and cleaning her up. WOW, this was alot of work. Everything looked awesome on the inside. No corrosion, not busted wires, just a little bit of dust. I did use some Caigs Gold to protect the contacts and such but that was about it. I was excited and turned it on to find out that I really needed to adjust this beast as I could only see what was being projected by looking into the tubes. I hated that. So I broke out the service and instruction manual with tools and the original remote and started reading. There is a ton of adjustments!!!! There has to be more adjustments on a PJ than on a car. LOL!!! SO I adjusted the lens focus so I could see something on the wall and just went step by step through the manual. I got to the part where I could hook up my viedo sorce and did so. ONLY to find that my adjustments where way off. I think the PJ is to close to the wall. ITs only about 6 feet. Thats as big of an area as I have for it for now. But I could watch spiderman on a big screen but just not as big as it should be. The color in the center of the screen is OK its when you get to the edges it bow's it all in. I played with the million and one adjustments and cant get it right. But for now I'M pleased that the PJ works and puts out an image. I took alot of pics of the inside and will post them here sooner than later if anyone is curious about the inside gutts of this beast. I have a feeling of accomplishment and cant wait until I get the room to let it show me how wonderful of a pic it produces.

Your best bet would be have someone local help you set it up(if possible). Experienced people can do in 20 minutes what might take you 8 hours...I've been there lol.

I'll 2nd that. My first setup was 13 hours on a Sony 1252 ( one of the friendliest projectors to set up ) In my defence I didn't have a manual, it was my first CRT projector and had only owned it for 1 hour at the time. Now a quickey setup is 20-40 minutes followed by hours of tweaking if I don't stop myself

Hi,
First, I agree with Athanasios that you should learn as much as possible from the PJ you already have before investing any time or money in another one. The opportunity to learn-by-doing is priceless. You need to be able to make decisions based on facts that you learned for yourself, not opinions of others. Also, I use 720p on my 8" PJ and really like the PQ. I run movies from my HTPC (using an ATI 3850 card), up-scaled Std Def satellite tv, and OTA HDTV (free!). I have very little invested in my system, yet I still feel that it is amazing that I can have such a theater at any cost. With one income and two in college, I could ever invest the money that a d**ital PJ would cost to give the image quality.
