I also have a couple of questions.
1. Does a Marquee detect and automatically switch to a saved memory location like a NEC or does it need to be manually switched?
2. If it needs to be manually switched, what is the button press sequence required to select a pre configured channel?
The idea here is to have all these operations happen in the background using logic to automate the whole thing. Master power on/off buttons turn on/off everything with one button press. Press the Blu-Ray button and the sound system, video switcher and projector go to pre-configured set-up's. 99% of the time, the end user will never have to access the individual component control pages. For day to day use, only basic navigation controls for cable and DVD control will be provided. Of course, full controls will be available on the individual component page. Thanks, |

Don't use the auto detect unless you like an average of 2 parts of your work. Set up a recall and channel for each input. and turn off ASR and ASI.

Set up channels in th projector associated with recalls. Then when DVD is pressed you send "1" "0" to the projector (channel 10 e,g,) which is associated with the recall that has your set up for DVD. This is simpler than sending "recall" "1" "0".
Mine is so simple the wife can use it.

Totally agree with this answer, Channels are the only way to go with a Marquee. Functionally, there is no auto switching with a Marquee, I've NEVER seen it work properly... you can set it up for single digit channel choices too, ie. simply press "1" for channel one, no other presses necessary...

I don't understand why people have a hard time with the Marquee auto switching. I have it perfect on mine. I have setup 1080p72 on Recall 1, and 1080p75 on recall 2. I have ASR turned on, and ASI turned off.
It has no problems auto selecting the correct recall memory.

The auto source selection funtion sounds just like the way AmPro does it. I don't use it and opt for direct channel selection. When I choose to watch a BluRay movie and tap the DVD source button, Crestron sends a signal (via RS232 )of "10""channel" to the projector. I know that it's on the channel I have optimized for BluRay. I do however miss my old
NEC PG days when if you had a signal saved to memory and you fed the projector that exact signal, it would find it and switch to it no questions asked.

Well, I've got a week to play. I've pretty much done nothing but landscaping and working too much in the past few months... I've got to change two more bellows and a C element and put it all back together again. |
If you want a hand with it, I can come over for a couple of hours tomorrow after my Dr.s appt. (@2:30). |
Horizontal time this afternoon... tried walking Da Big Goof for the first time in a week and ran across two unleashed labs. Sufficeit to say, ma belly hurts.

I've seen your boss. SHE's the reason for your latent interest in slow dancing!

Speaking of the bet... The manual irrigation is done. Twelve channels of zones plus a master enable/disable that closes all the zones and kills the pump (gonna need a contactor for that) on a second TP page. I now need to figure out feedback (latching the buttons down and/or changing their color) and a scheduler.
