Dear All,

I'm not too sure whether anyone with G70 face the same problem while watching movies or even during white screen during warm up mode. Rolling Eyes

After doing all the calibration, I realize that on the right half of the screen seem to be dominated with red colour while the left half of the screen is dominated by the blue colour. I simply don't remember seeing this colour dominance on my vidikron VPF40HD projector.

Does anyone out there know the reason to this and able to give advise on how to overcome this problem?

Best Regards
Faizel

Hi,

I noticed that choosing screen type 1 (instead of 2) helped with uniformity.

Also,.. if you are in service mode there are adjustments for Blue and Red uniformity which can help too.

I noticed this problem when watching a black and white movie. It was subtle but certainly there was more red on the right and more blue on the left. (Ceiling mounted, inverted, projector.)

I can double check what my unifotmity settings are if you like. Horizontal Red and Blue have to be maxed out but I can't recall offhand which one is set to Max and which one is set to Min.

Brian, please post your settings. I am resetting up my machine and would love to know what others have the uniformity settings at. Thanks

HI,

I checked and my Uniformity settings are Min for both H-R and H-B and 128 (nominal) for V.

I have brightness uniformity turned off.

I should run both H-R and H-B through the limits again and look at what happens but last time those settings along with screen sel 1 made things look right.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for your advise. I did the same setting and now, the colour uniformity looks great and for the very first time, I feel good and satisfied with the picture quality of the G70.

I also realise that if you turn both to 'OFF', the uniformity look quite stable throughout the entire screen. Laughing

Thanks again and I really appreciate your feedback.
