I'm still waiting on the quote but shipping should be $150 or less. The guy also claimed it had low hours on it. Smile

Oh, you did get it! Congrats. If it truly has low hours and that guy doesn't do something dumb in packing/shipping it, that could be a pretty nice machine for under $250.

A lot of guys have kind of been hammering the 12xx's lately as "just not worth anything", but I disagree. I just sold my 1271 3 months ago for $300. Compared to other stuff out there, I think they're still a great deal - as long as you're willing to move them around and set them up properly. It would be great if we could all get 8" EM/LC projectors for $500 or less, but since those deals are few and far between, the 'ol 12xx sets still have some good value, IMHO. They still make a damn nice picture when set up properly.

Good luck with the transaction and post some pics once you get the machine!

I've got a 1252 in my basement that has been sitting in my pingpong table room since I bought it and I have been trying to get rid of it since I got my XG. Don't ever turn it on except for the last two weekends and it has been SUPER handy because I had family over and we played video games on it. Nice to have speakers built into the projector. Sounded decent actually.

Better to play guitar hero, etc. on 100" screen. I don't think I want to sell it now...can't get crap for them and I can still get a lot of use out of it. Might be time for a garage setup...if I could just trust my mounting techniques above my car!

Not really I think you are a car guy. I know I wouldn't trust me to hang a 1252 over my 68 Charger. Laughing

Reminds me of XANTHOS and the hilarity of people on AVSForum getting annoyed by his all CAPS posts.
