I was fine at 1080i, but when I hooked up the HD-A30 in place of the HD-A2 I got sparklies at 1080p. I'm sure it's the long HDMI-DVI cable, but has anyone had the Monoprice 4x2 switcher cause them? I didn't have time to try any cable swapping last nite, so I'll figure out what the culprit is this weekend. I'm going to be rearranging the HT soon so I'll make the cable runs as short as possible.

So.... I realized that I had disconnected the power supply for the Fury a while back, and it worked fine at 1080i so I never thought twice about it not being there. I hooked it up and ... no change. I ran the hdmi cable straight from the A30 to the fury and the sparklies were gone. I looked at the hdmi cables that I had connected to the DVR and the A30, decided to swap them and reconnect the switcher in the line and ... Bingo. No more sparklies. The silver connectored hdmi cable was definitely lesser quality than the gold one. I tried unplugging the power supply and the sparklies came back very sligthly in green instead of blue like before, so I reconnected the supply and everything is groovy baby! 8)
