My PG 6 Xtra has been doing strange things lately.
It will suddenly turn it self off and display FC flashing on the readout.
If you disconnect it from the power for a while it will reset and run fine for weeks and then the same.
It is happening more frequent lately.
The manual does not refer to error codes, kind of makes them pointless.

You should download the service manual for this error code, its not a easy one to find and fix, it can be just about any of the boards. Its the +15V missing from the power supply or the supply is ramped down from a failing board. The next time it shuts down first lift the CP connector at the C drive then try the FP connector from the F drive and see if the fans will start to spin again when powering on.

When you disconnect the projector power it clears the error code and will try to start before shutting down again so try each. On yours it could be the power supply itself or even the deflection board.

Usually what ever you did last on the projector will point to what board may be failing. Doug

Sorry Doug,
When you enter Nec error codes as I did you get 1200 posts after going through 300 or so you can get a bit disappointed and eventually give up. I will try to be a little more patient next time.

Thanks very much for your help.
Barry
