Hello,

I have a NEC XG projector with the red tube neck board broken.
I get a picture, but with very little contrast (almost completely lit).
And the heatsink is cold, compared to the two other ones.

I suppose that the two power amplifier VPJ13S are dead, but I am not sure.
So I 'd like to probe with a scope some signals on the board.
My question is : is it possible to only connect the low voltage connectors, and not the HV ones, for testing purposes?
This way, I could place the board a little away from the projector and have easy access.
So, can a tube without neck board but with deflection and HV signals be damaged?

Thanks for your help.

Raf
