Scott, you'll definitely need a line driver - the HD Fury won't drive much analog cable. It's designed to be right at the display. Can you run a long HDMI cable from the DVDO to the projector and put he Fury at the projector? If not, there are several extron boxes that work just fine that would be even cheaper than the Box or RTC products. Cheaper as in $30-40.
Sorry you have had so much trouble the Moome box - that sucks, and it certainly concerns me thinking about how one of my next big HT purchases was going to be a Moome IFB-FULLHD card to take my G70 to the next level. I guess I'll just have to wait until I see how some others get along with it before I spend the money.

Thx for the clarification! Can you reccomend a Extron Part??? (or the best place to get one?)
Run from the Moome product... Communication with him is horrible, if exsistant... I feel for the people who have put money out and either are waiting for product or constantly get bad product...

I did not miss the point at all ! I think possibly some others missed the point of this thread ! I was laughing and I was laughing at the old get rid the wife advice from strangers .
HE probably was JOKING about his wife !! Maybe not though!! Have you ever seen the corner focus on those things or hear how loud they are? Maybe his wife wants a sharp 1080p image, OR Maybe his wife is a "controlling" "dysfunctional" videophile !
He mainly wanted to let it be known he has a projector for sale. And for some STRANGE reason thought he would get some advice on a digital projector.
I am surprised anybody with an IQ over forty and having being on these forums for a while would actually ask here what digital to buy .... ...
He also on his first line asked not to tell him how much he will miss is Zenith, Maybe he does not care anymore! It is out the door, nobody here will stop him if that is the case.
Kal letting him know there is a new Moome product "coming out soon" made me chuckle after reading what he has gone through .
Sorry Drager your advise to him was laughable , and that is what I was doing. I really thought you were joking, and now you are actually coming back to defend that statement by bringing up dysfunctional relationships.. LOL ..
You actually were serious in insinuating a man's wife is dysfunctional with control issues over a joking casual statement, incredible! Do you comprehend that most people make "get rid of her" comments as a joking razzing statement ?

Bruce dont worry, at least I understand your just joking around. For those of you who dont know Bruce I have talked with him on the phone and he seems like a genuin nice guy who is deffinitly a joker, and not in a malicious way eiether, i guess its that canadian hummor, i just get it since i live right on the border.
Ecrabb I wouldnt worry about the internal cards of Moome, they seem not to be the problem product of his. I do not think i have heard many complaints of faulty VIM-HD cards for the marquee.

What most of you dont get is the following:
My post says we would like to downsize... Any joking about my wife is out of line, as you dont know me or know her.
Only a few of you actually took the time to help answer my questions... The reason I asked on this forum was that I would 'assume' that everyone here as looked at the best of breed of digitals and wanted their opinion. If not how can you guys bash digital w/o actually looking at them...
I really appreciate the folks who tried to answer my questions, and will help me make a informed decision.
As to me selling my Zenith, that was not the purpose of the post. I prob will sell it at some point, but would do it locally and not here, as I respect the rules of the forum. People INFERRED that this post was just trying to sell it here....

I did edit that post..... Kal did send me a PM about selling on the forum, and I did appreciate him keeping the post open.
If you read above "that was not the purpose of the post" That means that is not the reason I asked for the advice..
Doesnt anyone have anything else to do than sit and bash?????
Again thank you to all that actually read the post and helped me out!

jamsys, Bruce did actually help out with suggestions on which digital to look at here:
And I did mention the HD fury would work if you also had the power supply for it.
I have seen some 25,000 and up Digitals at a local high end shop(runcos) and they did look very nice. But I also
have looked at the lower end sony's (didnt like) and the JVS which is much better than the Sony's. The runcos would be the one I would get to replace my CRT though if i had that much to spend, I dont remmebr the model number but not at 25,000. I will defifnitly look at the Mitsu that bruce mentioned in the above quote. Hope this helps you out.

Have you seen the JVC or Marantz? I havent been able to find a place with the Mitsu yet... It seems very cheap to be decent, but worth a try... I would love a Runco but out of my budget of 14k... Also like curt said, I will want to be replacing it in 5+ years...
Sorry about the whole thing... The 'joke' about the wife really got me ticked... In emails and the like you really cant tell if a person is joking or serious.....
HK Mod did say I need a line driver of some sort... Been trying to find a extron that costs less than the BOX, but prob will end up with that.. Not that I dont want to spend the money, buy hate to keep going from rgbhv to rgb and back again.. I am sure there has to be some loss in picture with all the cables (I may be wrong???)

I was under the assumption that a relationship is based on more than the things in the house. I don't always like the crap my wife brings home and i'm sure it's even more so on her end with my crap but we don't threaten each other with divorce over it.

Am I one of the ARSE"S about your wife ?
I thought I was defending your positions. Or did I offend you about your projector ?
I thought I found as much info or OPINIONS as needed on the initial projector you asked about . The reason I mentioned the mits is that it looks to beat a lot of last generation projectors in performance at half the price. 2:35 ability out of the box is a BIG bonus as well as HQV processing ability to display 1080p24 all in a $2000 street price unit and will beat most three year old 20,000 digitals .
You also had mentioned about depreciation and in my opinion the current generation digitals are still evolving too much to really buy a high end unit, UNLESS depreciation does not matter and you have the chin to take some hits about next gen units beating yours at half the price.
Jamsys I understand you wife sensitivity
Ironically I just made the decision about the wife , Even funnier is she is watching the 9500...AKA /vision one /AKA Vidikron .. LOL
Anyway Good luck with the projector hunting and wife training.

Bruce are you saying after your divorce SHE got the PJ !!!!!
That sucks dude, thats worse than having her keep your balls in her purse !
Athanasios |
Hey leave me alone, Feels like she got both. Not divorced yet just separated, It's been six months though. But yes she had grown fond of the 9" .
My seventeen year old likes it though, he gets the theater room to himself and does not have to share the 360 and ps3 I did not have the heart to take it all down , he really enjoys it .
Don't worry Athanasios I'll grow some more balls back.
Hey I see you finally got some focus coils, a few more parts and you are there . I was just going to tell you to quit wasting your time and just go buy a Sony and stick your Marquee badge on it.
