I'm looking at different ways to upscale my NTSC sources (namely Tivo) to 720p or 1080i, to into the Universal Moome HDMI convert I am getting.

Once scenario is to change my receiver to one with built in upscaling.THough I already have a receiver I like (Sony DG600, and is only a couple years old) it lacks HDMI switching, which I am going to need at some point as well.

Sooo - I see the ONKYO receivers listed on this site seem to be a good value - but I'm wondering about other receivers, and in particular, last year models that might have upscaling that might be available at a discount. I don't want to spend more than $600.

Specifically I want:

* At least 2 HDMI inputs

* At least 2 Svideo inputs with built in upscaling to 720P or 1080i

* The usual suite of 5.1 decoding options

* Auto calibration, with mic

Are there any with a built in ATSC tuner?

Any thoughts or comments are much appreciated.

FYI, you can get ATSC tuning and upscaling by upgrading to a Series 3 or TiVO HD.

Neither of which support NTSC inputs - it cannot be used with satellite (Dish), nor VHS or laserdisk.

Thus, I need a separate upscaler.
