Posting this for a friend. She has a Hitachi 60SX11KA that has a convergence problem. The "Magic Button" on the front of the TV doesn't seem to do anything. Is there any electronic adjustment on any of the circuit boards to adjust the convergence?
I know my way around basic electronics so I can troubleshoot if someone points me in the right direction..

No, don't start messing with controls in the set. If the 'magic button' (???) has stopped working, the set has a failure in it. MOst likely the STK chips on the convergence board have gone bad, if the set has that kind of design.

Can ya point me the convergence board location. Someone possibly you mention about a screw being to long and damaging a capacitor on the board, leading to failure.

I was the one who mentioned about a screw to long.
Your set does not contain the common failure STK chips and has a different design then those with that problem. However another thing to check would be the solder joints on those convergence ic's. When you take the back cover off the set, on the right side, you will see a big piece of metal, probably with fins. The convergevce ic's will be attached to that. Their location id is IK04, IK05 and IK06. Check solder connections on each and resolder if needed.
