Finally, a few more good titles coming to Blu-ray! In the release list for the rest of this year, I think I counted maybe 13 or so titles I'm interested in purchasing. That's pretty lame. I suppose that's the toll of the format war.
Where's The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars on Blu-ray? Too bad HD DVD had to die so soon. I was looking forward to the Star Trek movies in HD. Ah well, the HD DVD prices keep falling and with Blu-ray titles at $25 to $35 a pop in stores and a little less on Amazon, it's still good to be format neutral.

Yeah, that's one that I will be buying as soon as it's available! Still the best movie I have seen this year.

I hear ya. I don't buy nearly as much as I would if the titles were a $5-10 less than they are. But, did you guys see this announcement last week that Warner was both dropping prices on catalog titles and offering retailers rebates on newer titles?
Warner lowers Blu-ray pricing
I started a new thread on it.

Kal,
I just went to add the Kill Bill movies to my wish list and noticed you can pre-order vol 1 and vol 2 together for $39.99.
Maybe you can link that one and spread word about this... seems like a great deal to me.
EDIT - Just ordered it... Can't wait...

Yes,
I would say irresistible price since I consider the films to be somewhat masterpieces. I ordered minutes after finding that.
(I feel like crap for not ordering though this site... I just forgot. I'll make sure to place my amazon orders though the site when I can. I should be buying 20 James Bond movies on Blu Ray though Amazon soon so I can make up for it with those )

I know how to make you feel better: Cancel the pre-order and click through to place the order again. You've got a month and a half before the Kill Bill Volume 1/2 bundle ships to do it.

I thought that would be too much trouble ... but .... to heck with it,... I'll do it.
Happy to help Curt anyway and everyway.
EDIT - Done.

MGM still has not released any tech specs or supplement details as of yet on the Bond movies but they have issued a teaser of what's to come with full-res box art images for the six stand-alone Bond titles (See below).
What do you guys think? Personally, I think they absolutely SUCK! Completely unimaginative! I saw these a few days ago online and figured they were only place-holder pictures as they are so completely boring. Now, in the greater scheme of things... who cares? They're only box art. As long as the transfers are as good as possible who cares what the covers look like.

I thought they were releasing the first five movies, not just 'pick five' and go with it.

The box art is terrible.
The art for For Your Eyes Only should be illegal.
I wish they had used something like the original poster.

This the same thing they did with the DVD releases: There were 3 packs of movies that were all over the place in terms of cronology. If they released then in packs in order of release, most people won't buy the Tomothy Dalton/Roger Moore years. They'd stick with the early years only.
I have all of the movies on DVD ... bought the 3 packs years ago. Haven't watched most of them.
