I have even tried grinding down the point on a screw driver to get the most "bite" on the head. I'll try your suggestion on wire cutters or my trusty vice grips. I take it it is not a good idea to try and drill out the head?


I would save the drill as a last resort because you don't want to slip and break anything. You should be able to get it out with the vice grips although it will be a pain in the rear. Like Doug said, if you drop a screw inside or pieces of a screw be sure to find them because if they fall on a board you will have more problems.

I have the card assembly out.

The board is 72141921 then PWC-4192C.

Curt, can you help me out with a replacement? How expensive are these? I am assuming it I need to replace the entire assembly.
