Hi,

I have an old Pioneer SD-P 6081 TV when the glass in the back (convergence glass) is broke and I'm looking for a new glass for this. Does anyone know when I could buy this (Orlando area or online). Any ideas as to what to do with this CRT projection monitor receiver would be welcome!

Robin

Hi Robin, when you say the "glass" is broken do you mean the mirror or one of the lenses?

Hi,

I actually meant the mirror indeed! All 3 lenses are fine!

Thanks

Anyone has an idea of what to do with this TV without a mirror? Anywhere I could get this mirror?

You'll probably be better off grabbing another RPTV and steal the mirror out of it.

I just found this website: http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/model.asp?modelNum=SDP6081K
It's selling for 111 dollar, the repair guy here offered to fix it for 400+ dollars! I'm thinking of just buying the mirror and installing it myself, is it hard to do? Would there be a place I could buy a manual for this TV (connection, …)?

Best wishes,

Robin

Hello Robin,
I recently gutted my Pioneer SD-P5575, and have most of the parts available.
The mirror is still attached to the plastic back housing and seems to measure
about 35 inches by 23 inches- there are brackets on the short measurement.
Post or PM me if you are interested, and make an offer.
I live in Seminole= west Tampabay, FL.
The front screens, lenticular and fresnel, are near mint -no scratches and
measure 47 & 3/4 inches by 32 & 1/2 inches.
This was a 55 inch set, and I have the tube array- the green is worn-
and all the boards, a useable Pioneer remote, and the owner's manual if
anyone else is looking...
Ms. Robin
