Not sure about the VP50 but my HD+ will not do more than 72. If I select 72 then unlock and start to increase the rate the display goes blank. The unit is then locked up as far as display goes and the only way to get it back is to completely unplug the unit then plug back in. This caused me considerable grief one evening until I figured out that the DVDO had locked out the video. I thought I had EDID problems or PJ Sync issues until I finally did the reboot.

very nice, but a scientific logical outline without the pages and pages of factual info that goes with each itty bitty single statement you listed isn't worth a damn Phil, each point must be painstakingly proven

Thanks, Gary. Not actually having a unit to test, and just going by the docs, I wasn't sure if changing some of the parameters might cause it to bump off the interlaced setting. You never know for sure how the constraints of some products will manifest themselves, until after they bite you. Wink

Which makes my point above. Thanks, Steve. In DVDO's defense, they never claim anywhere that any of their VPs will go beyond 75 Hz. But that does sound a bit rude behavior, if not downright customer unfriendly. Probably since the HD+ days they've built limit-checking in, to prevent this. It would be nice to be able to do 96i though, on a $3500 box, when a PC can do it with no problems for under $500.
