I have a Moome Sony DVI card and a 50HTU MKII and it does not look like I can install the card. Has anybody ran into this before? Any advice?

I believe the D50 HTU is the unit with the non removable ifb slot. You'll have to use an ifb switcher if you want to use that card. Or use another hdmi input device all together. Sorry.

Ray is correct. That particular version of the D50 was a bit of a bastard child. It will NOT take an IFB interface card directly.

You'll need the Sony PC-1271 switcher and possibly and Extron or similar box to boost the output signal from the switcher when running a digital input. Your D50 may be fine with the signal from the switcher as is, but, I found with my testing of the Moome 2005 DVI/component card, and the Moome 2007 HDMI/componnet card, that the digital side of the card put out too weak a signal to display a proper picture on my Ampro and my Sony 520P CRT monitor. I added an Extron box ( from Ray coincidentally ) and the picture looked great! You could also add something like the RTC2200 or the BOX1021 both have a buffered ( amplified ) output for the RGBHV pass through.

You could also see if someone want's to trade for and external Moome box. Maybe.

Don't feel like chancing a 1271 Switcher? You can get them cheap ($50-$100 usually). I belive there's one or more for sale here right now.

Ok, probably a very stupid question, but my 50HTU MKII was only calibrated and adjusted for Y, Pr, Pb @ 1080i/540P on input B. Since the PC-1271 outputs RGB, would it be as simple as changing the setting in the menu to RGB, or would it have to be recalibrated/adjusted?

It may sync up and have a fine picture if you run 1080i/540P into it via the RGBHV from the PC1271. You may need some touchup's though as not all 1080i signal timings are exactly alike. It's not that hard to do after the 3rd or 4th time. I had a D50 for a while and found it very easy to set up once you get the hang of it.

The manual's are available here by the way: http://www.curtpalme.com/SonyD50.shtm
